As of May 4, 2005, I have only done what's listed above to the car. I haven't done anything new because I intend to start a complete rebuild sometime in July.
Rebuild plans call for punching the current block .030" over, giving the block a 4.030" bore. Then I plan to replace the crank with a 400cid piece, giving me a
3.75" stroke (vice the current 3.48" stroke). That will give me a grand total of 383cid of raw Chevrolet power! Once the bore and stroke have been dealt with, the block will likely be decked about .010" to level things off. This will have an added benefit of bumoing up the compression ratio. I'm looking at something between 9.5-10:1 for the compression. This will be a great jump from the present 8.5:1! For my heads, I plan to go with something that will work well with the Holley ProFlow fuel injection system I'm planning to use. Outside of what I've mentioned so far, I've not decided on any other parts.
